THE WORLD WAR 2 GUYS
The World War 2 Guys living history group can trace its roots back to the year 2000. Original members of the group got their start in World War II reenacting with the World War II HRS's 134th Infantry Regiment unit based out of Omaha. In late 2003, six members of the 134th broke away and formed a new reenacting group, the 2nd Infantry Division Living History Association. The unit got going officially in 2004 as a member unit of the WWII HRS. 2004 through 2006 was a very active time for the unit with events every month, numerous tactical battles and regular administrative meetings. Membership grew as well with the unit regularly able to field a full squad for events. 2008 through 2011 saw numerous high profile events at the Strategic Air & Space Muesum where the unit got to interact with groups such as the Band of Brothers, Iwo Jima and Pacific War veterans, and the Doolittle Raiders. In March 2016, we officially became Company H of the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment. In November of 2025 we added the 134th Infantry Regiment and the 701st Bomb Squadron and the 22nd Fighter Squadrons as additional core impressions. We look forward to an exciting future together as we continue to honor our nation's history and preserve the proud legacy of the World War II generation.
